Maternity sessions are always a challenge. On location, I must find something unique to use in the environment. Beside the house was this field of grasses. I certainly got a few “really? the grass?” looks from the mom and dad-to-be. But I had a vision in my head, and this was it. This was the last image of our maternity session and it became my favorite. She looks almost magical walking through that field. The maternal figure represents an abundance of life. I thought it fitting to describe her as “mother earth.”

When you think of pregnancy and how you’d describe a pregnant woman, words like cute, glowing, and beautiful come to mind. Needless to say I was super excited to have captured this image. Dad-to-be here clearly thought she was one ‘hot’ mama. This was captured mid morning. You can see the very bright aura from the morning sun that landed right between them. It’s almost a little too bright, BUT there are times when expression out ways technical perfection. I wouldn’t change a thing in this image. Love it!
