He grew in her heart.

Max is an exceptional little two year old. He chattered non stop throughout our session. His vocabulary was impressive! Max is happy and healthy and he loves his Mama. During our session I had Mom and Max sit together a talk for a few minutes. I didn’t realize I was about to hear a heart warming story.
Like a Mom of any toddler would do, she lead her son through a short story of how he came into the family. How he didn’t grow in Mama’s belly like most babies do. How he instead, grew in her heart. What a great way to describe the way a parent loves a child. In her description, I didn’t see any difference between how I grew to love my children and the way she grew to love her son.
Adoption is a gift of love. An invitation to a child to come into your heart and your home and your life. There are so many children in the world who would leap into your open arms if they had the chance. There is no greater gift than love. A nice thought for this holiday season.
